Hi guys, I have a problem with my laptop running Windows 10. I think I have come to the conclusion that Windows 10 wont let me install 3rd party antivirus software. Let me explain.
So back when I was using Windows 7, I had Bitdefender antivirus (the free version) as my antivirus software and I liked it, I had no issues with it; so when I moved to Win 10, I tried to get it back, but Windows 10 wouldn't let me install it. I keep getting a red User Account Control pop up box saying 'This app has been blocked for your protection' whenever I run the .exe file. I thought it was just the Bitdefender software, so I tried another software, Malwarebytes Anti-malware and it gave me the same message when I tried to run the .exe file.
I know Windows 10 comes with Windows Defender as a default antivirus. Could that be the problem? I would appreciate it if you could help me out here. Thanks for the help
For the record, I use Windows 10 Home, version 1703, build number 15063.608.
